According to research group Corporate Occupation, Safran has provided equipment to the Israeli police force in the occupied West Bank. Researchers identified Israeli police at Shah Binyamin process detainees using fingerprint scanners manufactured by Safran. The scanner was connected to the police computer system and was labelled Sagem Morpho touch.
Safran’s precessor Sagem, cooperated with Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems, establishing a joint venture to market UAV systems in 2010. This cooperation was crucial in the development of Safran’s Patroller drone.
